Fireside Bellows

Fireside Bellows

Fireside Bellows played a set at the 2008 Newstead Live festival and impressed with their wonderful harmonies. Their debut CD, No Time to Die, was recorded with the assistance of the Foundation. Jordie’s solo career has since progressed in leaps and bounds to critical acclaim.

Thanks to the support of the Australian Folk Alliance, Cloudstreet received an opportunity to showcase Australian performers at the International Folk Alliance in Memphis USA. Their travel costs were subsidised by the Foundation.

Kavisha Mazella

Kavisha Mazzella

Even a folk artist of Kavisha’s calibre needs to raise money for recording. Her 2011 CD Love & Sorrow resulted from a fund raising drive to which the Foundation made a substantial contribution.



Mandy Connell

Mandy Connell

A singer/song-writer with a lifetime association with the folk scene, Mandy received assistance for the recording and production of Tall Tales Pretty Colours.



Martin Pearson

The Foundation sponsored the production and manufacture of Martin’s recent CD, The Dark Side of The Farce. The CD showcased Martins’ amazing versatility across music and comedy.



Pot n Kettle

Pot'n'Kettle

Penny Larkin and Carl Panuzzo, the voices behind Pot’n’Kettle, have reverted to recording under their own names. Their first (and only) CD as Pot ‘n’ Kettle was Black and Blue; this recording was supported by the Foundation.


St Brigid's Hall Fund

Save St Brigid's Hall community fund

The Foundation contributed to the Save St Brigid’s community fund, supporting a vibrant rural community to hold on to their former church and hall as a community and cultural centre.



Community Music Victoria

Community Music Victoria

Community Music Victoria, a not-for-profit, membership-based association, which supports, promotes and facilitates music-making among Victorian communities has similar aims to the Foundation. The Foundation contributed to one of its fund-raisers.


Rolling the Ball fund - National Folk Festival

"Rolling the Ball" fund - National Folk Festival

Associates of the foundation have formerly had a long and valued relationship with the National Folk Festival and contributed to the Rolling the Ball fund for the acquisition of a permanent dance floor in the Fitzroy Pavilion.
